lyrics

[Verse]

As I stepped onto the train I reached down for my gloves and find one,
As the whistle blows the carriage moves,
I spy the other on the platform

Quickly I realise theres no way I can retrieve it,
I start to plan how to handle this bereavement

One glove no longer has use to me,
But if I throw the other they can both be of use to somebody,

But why?

If there’s anything i’ve learnt,
No one would do me the same courtesy if the tables turned,

That glove provided me so much,
No one else would appreciate it’s touch,

They could be left there in the frost,
And i’d have nothing to remember my loss

They won’t appreciate how much I paid

It’s only a glove why am I letting it stress me,
Why can’t I address this moment sensibly,
Guess if it was meant to be then it would have been,

As I see the moment pass I grab the glove and tuck it,
sigh fuck it
